Social media critic Verydarkman has taken aim at Bola Ahmed Tinubu, openly faulting his approach to the re-election campaign.
In a video circulating online, the commentator questioned why an incumbent seeking another term would rely on giveaways and influencer-driven movements instead of campaigning based on achievements from his first four years in office.

He referenced rice distribution efforts and organized support groups as examples, arguing that performance in office should naturally earn public support.
Verydarkman also mentioned prominent figures allegedly participating in outreach efforts, suggesting that such tactics indicate dissatisfaction among voters.

He said in part âŚ
âAlright, so make it make sense that you have been in power for four years. And after four years, you are campaigning for reelection. But instead of you to campaign with the work that you have done in these four years, you are using rice to campaign. You are getting influencers to campaign for you. You are arranging city boysâ movement, city girlsâ movement here and there, getting the h0ttest baddies in town to come and campaign for you. Make it make sense that in all four years you still need people to convince people to vote for you. The people are supposed to be begging you to remain in power. But because you know that in that four years of being in power, you did not achieve anything. That is why you need influencers. You need to set up a city boys movement where you get the influential people that came out of this region to gather their people, to rally their people for you. Itâs a shame. Itâs a shame. The other day I saw the presidentâs son. He carry, he they share rice. I see MC Oluomo too dey share rice to market women. And Iâm like, do you need to do this? all you had to do was to use your first four years to do the best to do not even the best to do the least letâs say security now a lot of people donât know thatâŚ.â
âPresident Tinubu has been in power for 4 years and now campaigning for reelection. Instead of campaigning on the work youâve done, you are using rice and hiring influencers to campaign for you. It is a sh@me. Make it make sense. People are supposed to be begging you to remain in⌠pic.twitter.com/gZl6Bnu38h
