Famous Afrobeats singer,Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun a.k.a Wizkid opens up on how he feels when people underestimate his potential.

The ‘Joro’ hitmaker made this statement during a recent Instagram live interview when he was asked how he manages mounting pressures to prove himself in his music.

According to Wizkid, the underestimation he receives from others is what drives him most to pursue his desires.

He said:

“I love it when people underestimate me, it fuels me more than anything else in the world.”

However, the superstar singer also mentioned in a previous interview from years ago that he enjoys proving himself to those who have reservations about his ability.

Wizkid state;

“Some of the tough lessons that have shaped me to be the entrepreneur I am today is never to take (no) for an answer. When I started, I was probably the youngest person making music in Nigeria. And everywhere I went, I was the youngest person in the room.

I learnt not to accept ‘no’ for an answer and that has helped shape me into the man I am now. When I think about anything, I go for it. Of course, I have mentors such as Mr Tony Elemelu (Big Daddy), and I think everybody knows that.

Some of the business tips I learnt is to be open-minded and I always keep my ears to the ground because one does not know where a good business idea could come from. I also try to take my time before I make decisions. I have learnt to be diligent with my work, thanks to the people I look up to.

On the issue of being under constant pressure to prove myself, I’ll say that it actually fuels me more than anything in the world because I love it when people underestimate me. I just show you that I can do it. There is not much story behind my success, other than the fact that I personally decided that I wanted to be excellent.

I made up my mind to be an amazing artiste. Secondly, I don’t joke with my craft. I try as much as possible to always elevate my music, sound and business. I guess if one stays amazing towards one’s work, the world would steadily gravitate towards one. It is just hard work and persistency that has helped my music.”

Veteran Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku has made a heartfelt plea to his fans, urging them to appreciate and celebrate him while he is still alive.

The renowned movie star took to his Instagram page to share photos of himself alongside a touching message, stressing the importance of recognizing and appreciating him while he’s still breathing.

Controversial singer, Portable has revealed that he lost his mother when he was thirteen years old and explained why he had to rebury her.

In a touching video, he singer exhibited the new site where he buried while revealing that his mother died when he was 13 years old.

He had to exhume her body and rebury her on another piece of land because the land where she had been buried before had been sold. He also revealed that when she died, he didn’t get to see her body.

BBNaija Season 7 winner, Phyna Unusual clashes with the controversial influencer, Daniel Regha over her recent podcast about Edo men as time wasters.

In a recent podcast episode, Phyna discussed how Edo men often waste women’s time before marriage, citing her own experience of dating an Edo man for 12 years without any progress.

Daniel Regha, however, criticized the reality star for her recent podcast, claiming that she lacks intelligence and often disrespects Edo men.

He also accused her of lying about her age which she claimed to be 26 and according to Daniel, she must have been dating from age 14.

“Phyna is 26 yrs old according to her BBN & Wikipedia age, but she claims to have dated a man for “12 years”. So she started dating at the age of 14? Again, using her p¤¤r decision to disrespect Edo State men in general is wrong. She’s always sounding very un!intelligent,” he wrote.

Responding to the criticism, Phyna swiftly addressed Daniel Regha’s comments, stating that they are both in the same situation and calling him a hypocrite.

“Daniel no different between me and you if we say make we check am well….
And if the gullible Nigerians will agree na the same rope tie us, so you either seat this one out or you go to YouTube to watch the full podcast, don’t be an hypocrite,” she responded.

A Pregnant lady dancing seductively like that on stage is totally bad and very disgusting.

The husband with a broken arm shouldn’t have beaten her like that… It’s obvious the relationship is an unhealthy one.
