First Lady Remi Tinubu Warns Nigerians: Go To Farm To Grow Your Own Food

The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has advised Nigerians to grow their food amid the nationwide food inflation and economic downturn.

In a statement issued by her special assistant on media, Busola Kukoyi, the First Lady said this at the State house while receiving the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed.

The First Lady noted that the various interventions of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) especially in the areas of Agriculture, Empowerment, Education, Health and Social Welfare are to complement the efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“The President has made the right decisions. These decisions will help us build a Nigeria that is more respected. We should be more accountable as a people as regards our resources,” she said.

“We have to inspire them [Youths] to think Nigeria first before any State.

“Youth between 15 years to 25 years will design the fabric depicting Nigeria and not just their State or tribe. The prize money is huge.”

    The 16 soldiers killed

The young man, who did not mention his name in a viral video, said two warring communities had a land dispute which led to a crisis.

The man however blamed the government and leaders for not calling both communities for a peaceful resolution.

“This is the last video I will make over the fight between Okuama community and Okoloba community.

“The Ijaw people from Okuama community used army to carry three people from Okoloba community and killed them. The three people were all slaughtered.

“The Federal Government gave some people power to do [oil] bunkering and after doing the bunkering, the army followed and guide them to sell the product. They betrayed their brothers and their own blood,” the man said.

He also alleged that the man in charge of the bunkering used the soldiers to take away three persons from his community before killing them.

“The 16 soldiers were killed when they came to take away our community leaders and the youths knew that when they take them (the community leaders) away, they will be powerless. That was the reason the 16 soldiers were attacked.

“My father was a retired army officer who died last year. I have lost six of my people to the fight between Okuama community and Okoloba community. The Federal Government can declare me wanted after making this video,” he added.

Since the tragic incident, three persons have been arrested in connection with the killings of the 16 soldiers and taken to the military headquarters Abuja while more efforts were ongoing to capture the perpetrators of the crime.

    The IPOB leaders said:-

“Anybody committing crime cannot go free. I swear it. Anybody committing crime in the east cannot go free.

“They are doing it because I am in the DSS ( custody). If I were to be outside, nobody can try this . I suspect that some people in government are complicit. They are making money with the insecurity.

“They know if Nnmadi Kanu is outside, in two minutes this nonsense will stop. Who is the bagger or idiot that will speak when I am talking.

“That, I will give an order in the East, who is the idiot that will counter it ? Nobody can. I am Nnmadi Kanu. Rubbish!.

“Anybody involved in any form of violence in the East in the name of IPOB is a goner and they know it. Let me come out of this mess, only two minutes, there will be peace in the East,” he said.

  • 6 things you must keep private if you want to succeed

6 things you must keep private if you want to succeed

6 things you must keep private if you want to succeed. In today’s age of social media and constant sharing, it’s easy to feel like we need to share every aspect of our lives with the world.

But the truth is, there are some things that should be kept private if you want to succeed.

Here are some very important things you must learn to keep private if you want to succeed

    1. Your goals and plans

Sharing your goals and plans with others can be a good way to stay accountable and motivated, but it can also leave you vulnerable to criticism, doubt, and even sabotage. It’s best to keep your goals and plans to yourself or only share them with trusted individuals who can offer support and encouragement.

    2. Your finances

Your finances are your personal business, and sharing too much information about them can lead to unwanted attention, scams, or even theft. Keep your financial information private and secure, and only share it with professionals who can help you manage your finances.

    3. Your personal relationships

While it’s important to have a support system, sharing too much information about your personal relationships can be risky. It can lead to unwanted drama, gossip, and even damage your reputation. Keep your personal relationships private, and only share what you’re comfortable with.

    4. Your health issues

Health issues can be sensitive and personal, and sharing too much information about them can lead to discrimination or even unwanted attention. It’s best to keep your health issues private and only share what’s necessary with your healthcare providers.

    5. Your intellectual property

If you’re working on a creative project or have a new business idea, it’s important to keep it private until it’s ready to be shared with the world. Sharing too much information too soon can lead to theft, copycats, or even sabotage.

    6. Charity and donations

These acts should come from the heart and should be done to genuinely help others, not to put you in a good light.

Making this knowledge public will make it look like you’re bragging about your generosity. Don’t do it.

In conclusion, it’s important to remember that not everything needs to be shared with the world. Keeping certain things private can help protect your privacy, your reputation, and your success.

Think carefully about what you share and with whom, and always prioritize your own needs and goals.

Hope we’ve been able to help
