Music mogul, Olamide has addressed the constant comparison of three of the biggest Afrobeats artists, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.
Nigerian rap icon Olamide has offered a calm view amid ongoing fan debates comparing the achievements of top Afrobeats stars.
Addressing the heated back-and-forth that often erupts online when fans of Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid clash over rankings and accomplishments, Olamide emphasized that greatness isnât something that can be minimized by opinions or labels.
According to him, whether an artist is tagged A-list, B-list, or anything in between, such classifications do little to affect their true impact or legacy. He encouraged fans to support whoever they admire without tearing others down, insisting that âthereâs plenty of room in the sky for everyone.â
Olamide further stressed that the artists at the center of these debates are far too focused, driven, and mature to be bothered by online arguments. âBurna, David, and Wiz arenât narrow-minded enough to get offended by someone elseâs opinion or perspective,â he noted, highlighting that such mindset is part of what propelled them to global success.
His remarks add to growing calls from within the Nigerian music community for fans to prioritize unity and appreciation over rivalry, especially as Afrobeats continues to gain unprecedented international recognition.
Honestly, this whole lengthy 3-way conversation is pretty much whatever. You can't diminish anyone's greatness, whether they're A-list, B-list, or anything else. Feel free to believe what you want or support whoever you chooseâthere's plenty of room in the sky for everyone.âŚ
