An ambitious Nigerian man, Brian Nwanna breaks Guinness World Record for trekking 25 kilometres on foot while visiting 150 fast food restaurants in 24 hours.
The Guinness World Record shared the news on their official social media pages.
Munachimso Brian Nwana, a 22-year-old content developer and culinary consultant, holds the global record for the most fast food establishments visited in a 24-hour period.
Brian broke the previous record of 100 establishments visited, set by American YouTuber Airrack last year, by visiting 150.
Prior to it, the late Lynn “Lynja” Davis and Nick DiGiovanni, two popular personalities on TikTok, had owned the record.
While both of those record attempts happened in New York City, Brian’s happened in Abuja, the Nigerian capital.
Since there isn’t much public transport in the city, Brian had to walk the full distance to try this record. No private vehicles are allowed.
According to the reports, Brian opted for a more challenging and daunting experience by breaking the record in Abuja.
He covered a distance of more than 25 km (15 mi) on foot, starting at Chicken Republic in the Gwarinpa residential area and ending at Kilimanjaro, a fast food restaurant, in the city centre.
He set his start and end times at 5 p.m. and slept for nine hours between midnight and 9 a.m.
Sharing the news, Guinness World Record wrote: “Nigerian social media star @BrianNwana travelled 25 kilometres on foot whilst visiting 150 fast food restaurants in 24 hours, smashing the previous record by 50 👏”
