The Egyptian Air Country Manager, Amr Basha, has called on Nigerian travel agents to help promote Egypt as a key tourism attraction site.

Basha made this appeal in a statement showcasing a strategic engagement the airline held with travel agents in the country.

The aviator promised that the different packages of the airline are affordable to different classes of travellers varying from fun seekers to medical care seekers amongst others.

“As our travel agents, please promote Egypt as a diverse travel destination, offering something for every type of traveller, including beach resorts, medical tourism, historical sites, and art. EgyptAir, in collaboration with its GSA, Elite Tours, is rolling out a variety of tour packages to cater to different customer needs,”he said.

Also, EgyptAir’s Sales Executive, Faith Obazee, outlined the airline’s value proposition, fleet, and services, as well as updates on new routes and destinations.

She intimated the agents with the airline’s frequent flyer programmes, codeshare agreements, and interline services with its global airline partners.

Station Manager, Mohammed Afifi, also addressed travellers’ concerns, specifically the requirement for a Yellow Fever Card for passengers flying to Egypt or transiting for 12 hours or more.

He stressed the importance of health precautions for travellers reiterating that the safety precautions of the airline are always of utmost priority.

Basha, while appreciating their partnering agents, acknowledged their “role in boosting sales and improving services, stressing that the airline’s partnership with travel agents is central to its growth and success in the Nigerian market.”

Speaking further, he presented Egypt’s top tourism destinations including “the Dream Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, the iconic Pyramids of Giza, and the scenic cities of Aswan and Hurghada. He also highlighted adventure options such as boat cruises and quad biking.”

The airline also awarded some outstanding agents for their top performance for 2023/2024.
