This is after the Frenchman recently said that Germany’s World Cup protest against alleged human right issues in Qatar is responsible for their early exit.
The 73-year-old had suggested that Germany’s crashing out in the group stages of the World Cup in Qatar was majorly as a result of political protest prior to their defeat against Japan.
Speaking to Norwegian channel TV 2, Solbakken said:
“[Wenger] has somehow been brainwashed and is now making the most stupid statements.
“It’s scary with all the people we’ve looked up to in the football world for years.
“There’s a polarisation going on right now, and I’m afraid it’s going to get worse.”
