Nigerian singer, Terry G, has revealed that his Grammy winning colleague, Wizkid demanded he takes down a song they had together ‘Mary Jane’ from digital streaming platforms.

Terry G said they did collaborations based on love in his era, so they didn’t use to seek clearance, and he thought the same still applied but Wizkid did not like that.

He stated this during an episode of the Afrobeats Podcast with Adesope Olajide, where he said that he only acted based on how it used to be in the industry in the past.

According to the ‘Akpako Master’ crooner, Wizkid’s legal team reached out to him because he did not seek permission from the Starboy boss before releasing the song.

He said;

“I didn’t clear the song I made with Wizkid (Mary Jane) because, in my era, we don’t clear songs; we do collaborations based on love. The lawyers have reached out to me to take the song down.

“To be honest, we’ve got to be professional and do paperwork. Because if that doesn’t work, nothing will work. So trust me, I have pulled down the song. For the platforms that are yet to take it down, I will make sure it is taken down on those platforms, too, soon.”

Popular Deeone expresses his skepticism over the cost of Chioma’s engagement ring, claims it cannot be that expensive and asks for the receipt as proof.

The reality star made a video, challenging Davido for saying it is worth the equivalent of two or three Rolls Royces.

While he understands that Davido is financially well off, he claims many rich people lie a lot.

He explains that in as much as he does not mean Davido is a liar, it is only right he shares a physical proof to show that the engagement ring is worth that amount.

CEO of Ashluxe clothing brand, Yinka Ashogbon, calls out Lyta for wearing a fake shirt carrying his store’s logo.

The business owner took to Snapchat to express his annoyance.

Sharing a picture Lyta posted to Instagram, he warned people who wear fake outfits carrying his brand name to make sure he doesn’t see it.

Internationally recognized singer, Wizkid showers accolades to the revered music executive, Don Jazzy weeks after describing him as an influencer.

It would be recalled that during the public clash between Davido and Wizzy, he sparked speculation following his reference to him.

In a recent post via the X platform, Wizkid showered praises on the Record Label boss, describing him as an amazing human.

In the post, he wrote, “Don jazzy!! amazing human! ❤️🦅.”
