President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians of his unwavering commitment to national transformation, boldly asserting that he knows the way to prosperity and will lead the country to the βpromised land.β
The president made this declaration during the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Summit, following a powerful show of support from the APC Governorsβ Forum.
Addressing party members and stakeholders, President Tinubu emphasised that now is the time for action rather than complaints.
βThis is the only time that you can correct and not complain,β he said.
Expressing gratitude for theΒ endorsement and support from party leaders, Tinubu added,Β βI owe you a whole world of gratitude; the endorsements today, the βcarry goβ inspiration.β
In a moment that electrified the room, a voice from the crowd shouted, βFollow who know road,β to which Tinubu responded with conviction:Β βI know road. And we will lead you on to that promised land.β
He assured attendees that the Nigerian economy is on a path to recovery, and that the βhopeβ Nigerians seek is already present and active.
βThe resuscitation of the Nigerian economy is on course, it is here. The hope is standing before you. Take it on,βΒ Tinubu added.
President Tinubu reiterated his administrationβs focus on building a foundation for industrialisation and long-term national progress.
βNigeria will be industrialised; we will achieve our goals. If only in the first two years we are where we are today, then the next two years will be great. We have the mission, we have the vision,βΒ he said.
Responding to concerns about the state of democracy and the dominance of the APC, Tinubu dismissed fears of a one-party system as misplaced.
βTo those saying one-party system is no good, itβs one party ruling and driving the aspirations of Nigerians. Where do they stand? You donβt blame a people bailing out of a sinking ship when they have no life jacket,βΒ he said.
Concluding his speech, President Tinubu hinted at further growth for the APC, noting that more politicians are expected to join its ranks. He described the partyβs expanding influence as simply part of βthe gameβ of politics.
