Let’s talk about these Loan companies and how they handle repayment – too terrible if you ask me.

Even though I understand many Nigerians are criminal-minded and have to be forced to pay back loans they collected, I just think the route many of these companies are taking is too bad, terrible and any other horrible adjectives you can use to qualify them.

I have been wanting to talk about this for a while, but it kept skipping my mind until today, I finally decided to put up this post.

What actually happened…

I got a Text message that someone I know is HIV Positive and blah blah blah and I should ask him to pay his debt.

I was confused, how does this even relate self?

I picked up the phone and called the person, only to learn that he had received a N20,000 loan and had been unable to repay it. According to him, he defaulted for 2 days, and they have started sending a series of messages to people he knows that he’s HIV positive..

I was dumbfounded because I couldn’t even imagine why a Company would even think of doing this to a human being.

It was a terrible experience and I don’t think anyone deserves to be treated like that, too bad

How do they get the Phone numbers of people you know?

In case you don’t know, when you download any of these Loan Apps (Mostly owned by Chinese), they automatically gained access to your Contacts and they can pick the details of all your contacts or that of anyone closer to you.

All these are done without your consent and they will start sending them series of messages condemning you if you fail to pay back within the agreed time.

This is a crime in advanced Countries like US, UK, and Germany but this is Nigeria. Most of these companies can do any rubbish in our Country and go scot-free with it.
