The remains of talented Nollywood makeup artist, Ms. Abigail Frederick, who tragically lost her life in a boat accident that also claimed the life of Nollywood star actor, Junior Pope has now been reburied in Akwa Ibom State.

Late Abigail Frederick
The tragic incident occurred last week Wednesday while the Thespians were returning from a movie location with others on the Anam River in Anambra State.
Gistreel reports that Abigail was initially buried by the river bank after her parents could not afford a certain amount of money demanded by the villagers for rituals and the cost of bringing her remains home for burial.
However, the Akwa Ibom State governor, Umo Eno, who had commiserated the family ordered the exhumation of her body from the riverside for proper burial.
The government claimed that it was not aware of such situation and ordered her body to be exhumed and evacuated to her home State for proper burial.
The arrival of Late Abigail’s remains in her hometown
Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Eno, Ekerete Udoh, who spoke on behalf of his boss at the weekend, said:,”One of the victims of that accident, Ms. Abigael Edith Frederick, was a quintessential example of our young people who have hearkened to our clarion call for them to ‘Arise and Shine’. She was a 24 year-old graduate of Theatre Arts, who had found her passion as a make-up artiste.
“We are deeply saddened by her painful passing and on behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, we sympathise with her family, the Nollywood community and her friends and colleagues over this sad loss.
“We have also followed and read the reportage, especially on the social media platforms surrounding her burial and wish to state categorically that, government was not informed of the circumstances that led to her burial.
“Governor Umo Eno has consequently directed that her body be brought back to her family for a proper and decent burial. As the famous theme song of the Liverpool Football Club goes, the bereaved family will not ‘walk alone’.”

This indicates a notable escalation in the headline inflation rate on a year-on-year basis for March 2024 compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
Additionally, analyzing month-on-month changes, Nigeria‘s inflation rate for March 2024 was 3.02%, showing a slight decrease of 0.10% from the February 2024 rate of 3.12%.

Nigerian Dunamis Church releases statement addressing Anyim Veronica’s testimony as they explain why the senior pastor, Pastor Paul Enenche reacted the way he did.
It would be recalled that the popular clergyman, Paul Enenche had publicly embarrassed a lady whose testimony he had thought to be false.
Anyim Veronica.
The church recently released a statement through the secretary, explaining what had prompted such a reaction from the pastor.
They listed, also, the points that led to the pastor concluding that the testimony was a ‘lie’.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the senior pastor has reached out to Anyim Veronica.
The statement read …
“A scenario was created on Sunday the 14th April. 2024 at the Glory Dome, the Global Headquarters of Dunamis Intemational Gospel Centre, when Ms Anyim Veronica Nnenna came out to testify of how God helped her graduate from the University, thus making her the first person to attain that feat in her family.
These were the immediate triggers for the said scenario:
First, listening to the testifier’s expressions as it borders on basic spoken English, conveys the impression that the minimum standard expectation of a graduate, especially a graduate of Law was not met.
Second, stating that she studied Law for 10 years begged the question of what her degree actually was.
Third, she was unable to state exactly what the correct degree was for Law which is LLB, rather she said it was a BSc in Law which is largely unknown as a Law degree in Nigeria and possibly globally.
These prompted the Senior Pastor. Dr. Paul Fnenche to stop the testimony immediately as a product of a “lie.” However, relief came when it was later confirmed that she actually graduated from a university.
It must be pointed out clearly here that embarrassing the testifier publicly with the attendant media frenzy was never intended; whatever happened was under the spur of the moment.
The action of the Senior Pastor was rather based on his and the church’s aversion to seeming mediocrity and any appearance of untruth.
While we remain resolute in our passion for excellence, intolerance of mediocrity and falsehood, we wish to reiterate the fact that no harm or hurt was ever intended by the Senior Pastor against Ms. Anyim Veronica. The Senior Pastor feels deeply concerned and had already reached out to her.
As a Commission, we regret every inconvenience, hurt and embarrassment this unfortunate scenario has caused to Ms Anyim Veronica Nnenna. We remain committed to her physical welfare as well as her spiritual growth.
