Popular rapper Nicki Minaj and former Cowboys star Dez Bryant are in a bitter online feud filled with personal jabs, past controversies, and even a $10 million fight challenge.

What began as a contract standoff between Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and team owner Jerry Jones has taken a dramatic and unexpected turn.

The controversy began when Jerry Jones accused Dez Bryant and Roc Nation founder Jay-Z of ghosting him after agreeing in principle to a contract deal years ago, a claim both Bryant and Roc Nation swiftly denied. Bryant responded by warning Jones to “back off” or risk having the full story come out.

Though not directly involved in the NFL saga, Minaj, who has a separate, ongoing feud with Roc Nation, saw an opening and inserted herself into the conversation.

In a tweet directed at Bryant, she wrote:
“How about we play a game? Every time you do a ‘Jerry Jones’ or ‘NFL’ story time, I’ll do a ‘story time’ of my own.”

Bryant replied with a GIF captioned, “I want to play a game.”

Minaj fired back:
“All my stories will be about ROC NATION, JAYZ & THE ALLEGED RACIST DESIREE PEREZ, ROC NATION CEO. I hope you fully understand the rules. It’s your turn.”

Popular Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has alleged that Afrobeats superstar, Davido has taken action against Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo.

This comes after VeryDarkMan released a series of WhatsApp chats showing Iyabo Ojo accusing Davido of chasing clout over Mohbad’s death.

According to Kemi Olunloyo’s Facebook post, Davido has reportedly disinvited Iyabo Ojo from his upcoming white wedding to Chioma in Atlanta.

“August go long👀.Wedding invite cancelled, unfollows Iyabo”, The post stated.

Additionally, she claimed that the ‘5ive‘ crooner has unfollowed Iyabo Ojo on Instagram.

In a follow-up post, Kemi Olunloyo revealed Iyabo Ojo’s hideout, contradicting earlier claims that the actress was in Canada.

According to Kemi Olunloyo, Naira Marley has commenced trolling Iyabo Ojo, recalling how the actress exposed her address and phone number to Gistlover, a controversial faceless blogger, in 2012.

Famous relationship expert, Blessing Okoro widely known as Blessing CEO has broken silence on IVD’s alleged arrest at the airport.

Earlier, Gistreel reported that online reports emerged claiming IVD was arrested, while attempting to board a flight for Qatar.

In a recent Instagram post, Blessing CEO confirmed the swirling reports while defending IVD and accused certain individuals of manipulating the system to keep him detained without proper charges.

Furthermore, Blessing CEO refuted reports that IVD violated a travel restriction related to his ongoing domestic violence case.

According to her, IVD never submitted his passport to the court and had obtained a new one after his old passport went missing.

“There was no ban what so ever on him, if there was why would he make his travel public. Ivd has never jumped bail for 3 years of the ongoing case, why would he run for just a 10 days trip that has a return ticket “,The post stated.

The self-acclaimed relationship expert called on Lagos State to intervene before the situation escalates further, insisting that the prolonged detention without charges is unlawful.

“This is injustice.They have bullied him for over 3 years .Lagos state please come into this before it gets messy .Why are they holding IVD ?”,She added.

Famous activist, Verydarkman slams critics as he reveals that he has never collected a dime from the DMW singer, Davido.

He took to his Instagram page to reveal this, while shooting down the narrative that Davido bankrolled him.

According to him, most of the things people had attributed to Davido doing for him was actually done by himself.

He cited how he had been the one to have flown himself to Lagos and even lodging himself, whereas, people had assumed it was Davido.

Verydarkman insisted that Davido and his guys have never given him any cash.

The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has revealed that human error, not mechanical failure, was responsible for the tragic boat mishap that claimed the lives of Nollywood actor Junior Pope and four others on the Anam River in Anambra State in April 2024.

NIWA’s Managing Director, Bola Oyebamiji, disclosed during a multi-modal transportation stakeholders forum held in Abuja on Thursday, while addressing concerns over recurring safety lapses on Nigeria’s inland waterways.

Oyebamiji dismissed speculation that mechanical faults or environmental factors caused the accident, stating instead that passengers on board had deliberately disregarded basic safety regulations, including refusing to wear life jackets provided to them.

“It was not mechanical failure, not impediments in the water or weather challenges, but purely a flagrant disregard for rules and regulations guiding movement on the inland waterways,” Oyebamiji said.

He stressed that such avoidable behaviour continues to undermine NIWA’s safety efforts, and called on all waterway users to cooperate with authorities in promoting safety awareness nationwide.

The forum, which brought together key industry stakeholders, also featured notable participants including the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, the Director-General of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, the Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, and Air Peace CEO, Allen Onyema, among others.

A single glittery sock that late pop superstar Michael Jackson wore during a concert in France in the 1990s sold for more than $8,000 on Wednesday, a French auctioneer said.

A technician found the used sock discarded near Jackson’s dressing room after the concert in the southern city of Nimes in July 1997, auctioneer Aurore Illy told AFP.

The self-styled “King of Pop” wore white athletic socks adorned with rhinestones during his “HIStory World Tour” in 1997, according to specialist website interencheres.com.

Jackson can be seen wearing them in clips of him performing his hit “Billie Jean”.

Decades later, the off-white item of clothing is covered in stains, and the rhinestones adorning it have yellowed with age, in a picture posted on the website.

“It really is an exceptional object — even a cult one for Michael Jackson fans,” Illy said.

The sock, initially valued at 3,000 to 4,000 euros ($3,400-4,500), sold for 7,688 euros ($8,822) at the Nimes auction house.

A Macau gaming resort in 2009 paid $350,000 for a glittery glove Jackson wore when he performed his first “moonwalk” dance in 1983.

A hat he wore just before that performance sold for more than $80,000 in Paris in 2023.

Jackson died of a fatal overdose in 2009, aged 50.

He still has a huge fan base, despite child molestation accusations against him during his lifetime and after his death, which he and his estate have denied.

However, ESPN supported his decision due to the seriousness of the situation.

It’s worth noting that Shannon Sharpe joined ESPN in 2016, initially as an NFL analyst on ‘First Take’.
