Popular Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign striker Chido Obi-Martin following his departure from Arsenal, according to reports.
Last week, Arsenal announced Obi-Martin’s exit after he turned down a contract extension.
The 16-year-old, who scored 32 goals last season, including an astonishing 10 in one game against Liverpool.
He was also seen as one of the most promising talents in Arsenal’s youth squad.
The Gunners were keen to retain him and offered what they considered a “fair” deal, but were caught off guard by his decision to leave.
Interest in Obi-Martin was high, with clubs like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund reportedly vying for his signature.
However, Manchester United moved quickly, meeting with the player’s representatives and securing his commitment.
