Following the confirmation of the signing of Joao Felix on a 6 months loan deal from Atletico Madrid, Chelsea FC has unveiled the jersey number of the Portuguese star.

Portuguese attacker Joao Felix will be part of the Chelsea squad for the remainder of the season, having moved to Stamford Bridge on loan from Atletico Madrid.

The 23-year-old featured heavily for the Spanish side prior to joining up with the Blues, missing just two of 16 league matches this season, scoring four goals.

Joao Felix has been at Cobham meeting his new team-mates and getting to know his new surroundings this morning, ahead of Chelsea’s match with Fulham on Thursday evening.

It was revealed that the Portuguese would be wearing the classic number 11 for the blues. In his post-match press conference, Graham Potter opened up on what he thought of Joao Felix. He revealed:

‘He is a quality player, and he will make a difference in the final third of the pitch. He is young, but has really good experience. The signing gives everybody a lift,’ Potter said.

He is a good age and he can play as a second striker between the lines and making a difference in the final third. We are looking forward to working with him.’

Welcome to premier league football Joao!
