The news broke from the Brazilian national team that Arsenal’s forward player, Gabriel Jesus has been ruled out of the FIFA World Cup following an injury to his knee. According to reports from the team’s camp, Jesus will not be available for Arsenal until January 2023.
Jesus is not the only player who is ruled out from the World Cup for Brazil. Manchester United‘s Alex Telles has also been ruled out of the competition after picking up a knock in the final group game against Cameroon.
Supporters of the Brazilian national team will hope these injuries do not hinder their chances to win the World Cup for a record sixth time.
