With just a few days to the 2022 FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, Argentina has officially confirmed the 26-man squad that will be representing the South American side at the prestigious football event.
The World Cup, which is scheduled to kick off on the 20th of November 2022, will be missing some of the biggest names who have been sidelined due to injury. Argentina’s goalkeeper Martinez had given a scare after he had been forcefully substituted off in the Aston Villa match against Newcastle due to a concussion concern.
Lionel Messi might be playing his final World Cup for Argentina as he was named as one of the players heading to this year’s competition. The South American country received major boosts in form of players who had been missing out of action due to injury; Paulo Dybala and Angel Di Maria all made it back to the squad after being out of their respective clubs due to injury.
