A heartwarming video captures the emotional moment a young Nigerian apprentice, commonly known as a Nwa Boy, is surprised by his boss with his long-awaited settlement package.
In the viral clip, the young man was led by his boss and others into a fashion store, unaware of what was about to happen.
Moments later, his boss revealed that the shop had been fully set up for him as his reward for years of loyal service.
Overwhelmed with emotion, the apprentice broke down in tears while those present praised both parties, the apprentice for his obedience and dedication, and the boss for keeping his promise and rewarding him honourably.
The gesture has since sparked an outpouring of emotional reactions on social media, with many Nigerians applauding the Igbo culture of apprenticeship and settlement that gives young people a head start in business.
